Weight The most accurate way to determine any bike’s weight is to have your local dealer weigh it for you. Many brands strive to list the lowest possible weight, but in reality weight can vary based on size, finish, hardware and accessories. All Giant bikes are designed for best-in-class weight and ride quality.

Cycling with bad allergy

I skipped the Tour de Cure training ride so I ride MTB with Marcus. I woke up sneezing and my nose is stuff. I told Zytrec pill and hope for the best. If I have not made an appointment with Marcus, I would just go back to sleep. The initial ride was ok but after 15 minutes, I was feeling nausea and slight headache but not sure if because of the cold/allergy or the Zytrec. I continue to ride and breathing was hard but I never gave up and completed the route.

Bike to work

It has been months since I bike to work and decided to ride today to Mountain View. I opted not to ride on Central Expressway because there are too many traffic. The route today was smooth and with little traffic but you always have to watch for cars turning right at intersection. There are also construction in Sunnyvale which make it challenging when they close 1 lane to traffic. Since I am having dinner tonight with family and friend, my wife will fetch me at 6.00 pm and then I will bring the bike home tomorrow. I don’t feel comfortable riding home at 6.00 pm since it is still dark and traffic is very heavy. I wish to do this every Wednesday. It sucks to ride the MTB hardtail on the tarmac but I get good workout.

Not a good day with Minor car accident and bad news

I was on the way to Fremont Older for a quick bike ride when my wife called and reported that she is in an accident. She was reversing out from a parking lot and hit a car. The damage for the Lexus RX 350 estimated to be $1,600 and I have to pay $1,000 for deductible. What really sucks is that the car has reverse sensor with audio warning and rear-camera and the car is less than 5-months old. We are not sure how much is the damage to the other cars which our insurance have to pay.

Another bad news is that my good friend is going through a divorce and they have been together for more than 10 years.:-(
